25 | On 11/20/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), J. Badger, conducted an unannounced, Case Management inspection with the licensee, Shao, Liwen
The licensee owns the home. The licensee has liability insurance for the day-care. LPA met with the licensee, Shao Liwen. The licensee requested to add an additional room to the existing day care areas. Present in the facility were, 2 infants, 10 preschool aged children, 2 helpers and the licensee. All adults present in the facility have had their criminal background clearance and are associated with the facility.
Day care areas: The upper-level day care areas are the living room, dining room, kitchen, one bedroom and one bathroom that will serve as the main day care space for infant children. The lower-level day care areas are, the backyard, a lower-level main room and the lower-level bathroom, that will serve as the main day care space for preschool aged children. The licensee has designated a space for isolation in the case of a sick child.
Off–Limits areas: Two bedrooms and one bathroom on the upper-level of the home is off-limits. The off-limit areas are not for day care use. The licensee is aware that off-limits areas are not to be used during business hours.
Both LPA and the licensee conducted a health and safety inspection of the home. LPA found the home to be clean and safe, with a functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fully charged fire extinguisher. The applicant has a fully stocked First Aid kit. There are no spas or bodies of water on the premises.
