Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok, conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the Site Director, Jessie Kaur. The purpose of the inspection was explained to her. There were 49 children with 8 staff present. The facility runs the Preschool program in Room #113, #115, #116, #117, #121 and Multipurpose room (GYM). All the rooms are on the ground level. The facility was granted an Outdoor usage waiver to use the play yard by schedule. The facility’s operation hours are Monday to Friday from 7AM to 6PM. All staff were fingerprinted. LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order. The temperature and lighting were adequate. There were plenty of the age-appropriated toys, books, learning material, and children’s furniture available in each room. There were children's bathrooms inside the classroom with 2 sinks and 2 toilets available in each classroom except classroom # 116 needs to share the bathroom with room # 121. All electrical outlets were covered in the all rooms. All the harmful and dangerous objects were made inaccessible to the children in each classroom. There were right number of hooks available for the children to store their own belongings in each classroom. Drinking water was served in the water pitcher with extra cups in each classroom. Daycare children bring their own water bottles to school daily. The children bring their own lunch or order from the food vendor (Choicelunch). The food vendor delivers the food to the facility daily. The facility provides AM/PM snacks to the children daily. The multi-purpose was clean and free of harmful object. The facility conducts the fire drill monthly and logged. Per Jessie, there were 4 children on special medication. LPA inspected the storage of the medication and documents during the inspection. Cots with children’s names were available for napping in each classroom. There was a separate facility’s bag to store the children’s beddings in each classroom, there were two outside play yards, one facing the front (outside of Rm# 121), another play yard was outside of Rm# 113, 115, and 117. Each classroom was connected to the play yards directly from the room. The facility installed a gate at the doorway to the play yard from the classroom. The outdoor yards were completely fenced. There were several of water fountains available for the children at the play yards, but the children use their own water bottles whenever they play out there. LPA reviewed the staff and children files during the inspection LPA also obtained a copy of the current children roster from the facility during the inspection. The facility had the hand sanitizers, touchless Thermometer, and disinfectants available by the main entrance and classrooms. Those items were made inaccessible to the children in the facility. The facility posted all the required postings.

To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey will be sent to the email address provided. Please complete the survey and share your inspection experience.
