25 | On November 20, 2023., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van met with the Site Director, Yarena Ozuna, for an unannounced inspection of the Plan of Correction (POC). The purpose of the inspection was explained, and the Director granted LPA entry to the Center. Seventeen children were supervised by seven teachers today.
During the annual inspection held on October 25, 2023, the Center received several citations for deficiencies, including failing to provide mandated reporter training certificates for five staff members, using sleep sacks, and having a toddler group size of 16 toddlers in a group.
In today’s inspection, staff records were reviewed, and it was found that they now have an up-to-date Mandated Reporter training certificate on file. The Center has created a partition to divide the toddlers into two groups, with no more than twelve in each group. The Center is no longer using sleep sacks; instead, younger infants are now using pajamas. All the deficiencies cited during the October 25, 2023, inspection have been resolved.
An exit interview was conducted with the Director, and a consultation was provided. In today's inspection, no deficiencies were observed. The Director, Yarena Ozuna, read and signed the report. Today's report and notice of the site were provided to the Director. LPA informed the Director that a site visit notification must be posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. |
