25 | On November 12, 2025., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van met with Director Carmen Chung for a case management inspection. The purpose of the inspection was explained. The facility self-reported an incident involving a child with ringworm. Executive director, Luisa Baj, arrived during the inspection. At the time of inspection, six teachers supervised 18 children, of whom 9 were infants and 9 were toddlers.
According to the director, the child was last at the center on Friday, November 7. The child showed no symptoms at that time. However, the child’s family took them to the doctor on November 10 due to a rash, and the doctor confirmed it was ringworm. The child was on antibiotics and followed the doctor's recommendations. The child returned to school today, November 12, as advised by the doctor. The director stated that, as a precaution, the child is not sharing toys, bedding items, or cribs, and bandages cover all the rashes, as teachers may come in contact during diaper changes. According to the director, teachers and staff thoroughly disinfected the classrooms and washed all soft toys and linens in the classroom the child attended.
Based on the information collected today, no violation of any regulation is observed.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the director, Carmen Chung, and the Executive Director, Luisa Baj.
