25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the Site Director, Xin Yu Chen (Janice) and 2 staff, The purpose of the inspection was explained to her, There were 22 children that included 10 toddlers and 12 preschoolers with 2 staff present upon LPA arrival The children were napping upon LPA arrival, The facility was a combination center that had Preschool program with a toddler option. The facility's operation hours were Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5:30PM.. The facility was licensed for 18 preschoolers and 12 toddlers. The preschool program was ruin the classroom in the back and toddler program was run in the classroom by the main entrance. The 2 classrooms is separated by the cabinets and gate, so the 2 group of children cannot be commingled. LPA toured and inspected the facility for health and safety hazard. The facility was clean and in order. Temperature and lighting were adequate. All toxins and harmful objects were either locked or made inaccessible to the children. There were plenty of the age-appropriate toys, books, learning material, and children's furniture. The facility had working telephone, and first aid supplies available, Right amount of cubbies were available for the children to store their own belongings by the main entrance. Gate was installed by the main entrance to prevent children access to the off-limit area. All electrical outlets had built-in blockage to prevent the children access, Carpet and soft cushioning were used as the cushion to prevent injury in the daycare areas. Children's bathroom had 2 toilets and 2 sinks available. The bathroom was clean and free of harmful object. There was a staff bathroom available in the facility. The facility provides breakfast, AM/PM snacks and lunch to the children. Licensee's mom prepared the food at home and deliver to the facility daily. Per licensee, there were no guns, no weapons and no pets in the facility. Cots were used as the napping equipment. The outdoor play yard was clean and free of harmful objects. The outdoor play yard is shared by 2 group of children with schedule. Outdoor play yard waiver was granted. Rubber mats (Safe Play tiles) were installed to the entire playground to prevent injury, There were some outdoor toys available for the children such as play house, play structure, sand box and outdoor toys. At least a staff had current CPR/First Aid training certificate available for review during the inspection. The certificate will expire in 8/14/2022., LPA reviewed the children and staff files during the inspection. LPA obtained a copy of the children's roster during the inspection as well,
