25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the Site Director, Sunny Qin and Head Teacher, Majo Chan (Siu Ching Chan). The purpose of the inspection was explained to them. There were 18 children with 3 staff present. All staff were fingerprinted. The Preschool program is run in the front of the building,Sunflower Room, Rainbow room, and library (a corner by the front entrance). The preschool areas were separated by the gate and shelves from the infant and toddler areas, There were plenty of the age-appropriate toys, books, learning materials, and children's furniture available. The Sunflower and Rainbow rooms were used for napping as well. There was a classroom area in the front of the building. The preschool's bathroom was located on the left side by the backdoor. The children's bathroom was clean and free of harmful objects. There were 3 sinks and 2 toilets available. The children have to pass the infant area to the bathroom and play yard. The facility has provided meals to the preschooler. The drink water was available in a water pitcher. The children brought their own water cups to the center daily. All electrical outlets were covered, Mats were available and used for napping. The Preschool program is shared the outdoor play yard with the infant program by schedule. The outdoor play yard was completely fenced. There were some age-appropriated toys, play structure, slide, and ride-on toys available. The licensee also installed the soft cushioning to the entire ground to prevent injury. .Per licensee, there were 2 children on special mediation during the inspection. The LPA inspected the medication and required documents. Gates were installed near the back door and the entrance to the Preschool area to prevent children access to the off-limit areas. Staff and children files were reviewed during the inspection, LPA also obtained a copy of the current children's roster from the licensee during the inspection, The outdoor play yard was completely fenced. There were age-appropriate play structures, slides, and ride-on-toys available for children. At least one staff had current CPR/First Aid training. The fire, earthquake and lock down drills have been conducted every 4 months and logged. All required postings were posted,
