25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the Site Director, Stefanie Stoddard. The purpose of the inspection was explained to her. There were There were 3 children with 5 staff present. Per Stefanie, most of the children went home around 2 PM.. Couple of children stayed in the after school care until 4 PM. The facility's operation hours were Monday to Friday from 8:AM to 4:00 PM. All staff had fingerprint clearance. The facility was a combination center. It had Preschool program with toddler option. There were 5 classrooms (#1 - Olivia, 3 - Fulton Frogs, 4 - Margaret Mole, 5 - Oswald Owls, & 6 - Kendi Kangaroos) that were used for the preschool and 1 classroom (#2 - Herman Hermit Crabs) for the Toddler option program. Security lock was installed at the main door. All parents and visitors must buzz at the intercom for entry, LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazard. The facility was clean and in order. The temperature and lighting were adequate. All toxins and harmful objects were stored and made inaccessible to children. Toddler's classroom # 2 from 18 to 36 months old. The toddler's program will be started the last week of September, 2022. Therefore, no toddler present during the inspection. There was a diaper changing table in the bathroom that is next to the Site director's office and classroom as well. There was a sink with 3 faucets next to the diaper changing table in the Herman's classroom. There was a big sink with 3 faucets available in each Preschool classroom. There was a big children bathroom with 5 toilets and a big sink with 5 faucets available in the hallway area. Cold and warm water were available on the children's sinks. Toilets and sinks were in appropriate size and height for children. All classrooms were clean and orderly. There were plenty of age appropriate toys, books, learning materials, furniture, and learning equipment available for children in each classroom. Hooks and bags were available for children to store their belongings. Children bring their own lunches and store in their own storage area. The facility just provides AM snack to the children during the Pandemic. Daycare children brought their own water bottles to school daily. The drinking water in the water pitcher was available with cups in each classroom as well. First aid supplies were available in each classroom. It was made inaccessible to children. Cots were available for napping. This facility had an adjacent play yard that was completely fenced. There was plenty of outdoor toys, playhouse, sandbox with cover, and children's furniture that was in good condition and repaired available for children. Waiver for outdoor playground was granted. The play yard was shared by Preschool and Toddler program with schedules. All electrical outlets were covered. Fire and Earthquake drills were conducted monthly. Facility used electronic Sign In/ Out system (Tadpoles). Waiver for electronic Sign in/out was granted. Children Sign in/out information were inspected during the inspection. All staff had current CPR/First Aids Certificates available, they will expire in 9/2023. Staff and children files were reviewed during the inspection. LPA obtained a copy of the current children's roster during the inspection. All required postings were posted. Most of the staff had current Mandated Reporter Training. Per Site Director, the facility did not have any children on special medication recently. The facility has conducted the emergency drill monthly.
