On January 28, 2025, at approximately 4:15PM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tso, met with the Licensee, Celia Almanza. Purpose of inspection was explained and was for an unannounced, case management inspection, to add the backyard to the on-limit (day care) areas. Present was the licensee, and a helper caring for 2 children. (1 infant-age, 1 preschool age). Adults have criminal record clearances on file. Days and hours of operations are: Monday- Friday, 8:00AM.- 5:00PM. Daycare Areas are: Downstairs: Playroom, Bathroom #1, Art room, Kitchen #1 and Bedroom #1. Off-limit Areas are: the rest of the home. LPAs inspected the backyard of the facility with licensee for health and safety hazards.

LPAs inspected the outdoor backyard area. The playthings inspected were in good repair. The backyard area does not have any pools, jacuzzi, fishponds or bodies of water. The backyard was barricaded with fences and gates. LPA observed a stair to the tree house at the backyard that was barricaded with fences and a wood gate. There was a pathway next to the playroom to access to the backyard.

Updated Facility Sketch (LIC999) has been submitted to the department. The City and County San Francisco Fire Department issued a fire clearance on the backyard with remarks (a) backyard can be used as play area; (b) backyard is not to be used as an area of refuge, for the home on 1/24/2025.

On 1/28/2025, the backyard was added to the on-limit (day care) areas, but the backyard could not be used as an area of refuge.

The updated daycare areas are : Downstairs: Playroom, Bathroom #1, Art room, Kitchen #1, Bedroom #1, and the backyard (could not be used as an area of refuge). The updated off limits areas: the rest of the home. There was a pathway next to the playroom to the backyard that for a pathway access to the backyard only.

There were no deficiencies cited at this time under CCR, Title 22, Div. 12, Chapter 3. A copy of today’s report was given to the licensee. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.


Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Celia Almanza. This report will be kept in the facility file and made available for public review upon request.
