There was a fully charged fire extinguisher, 2 combination smoke alarm carbon monoxide detectors, and a working telephone on site. The phone number listed for the Licensee is current. Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home.
LPAs reviewed five children's and three staff files. LPAs found that the five children's files had complete records. Both Licensee and the 2 aides have CPR & First Aid Certificates that are valid. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training is up to date. S2 is Chinese speaking and exempt from AB1207
LPA reviewed (S2)’s file and found that she did not have a record of her TDAP vaccine. Therefore the facility received a Technical Violation.
LPA reviewed (S3)’s file and found that he did not have a record of his MMR vaccine. Therefore the facility received a Technical Violation.
According to the Licensee, the last Emergency drill was conducted on 03/21//2025. A Technical Violation was issued for not properly documenting it. .
LPA observed the backyard to be full of debris. Licensee said they are not using the backyard area. LPA instructed the licensee to not use the backyard until it is clean and clear of debris.
Per Licensee, there are no children with allergies.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS Information Department. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption or transfer their existing clearance or exemption prior to the initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this Regulation is violated.
