25 | On October 10, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van conducted an annual random inspection and met the Licensee, Shkolnik Lyuba. The other co-licensee, Nemirovskaya Yanina, was not present during the visit. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to Ms. Shkolnik and was given access to the home. Upon entering the house, LPA observed all the children were having snacks. The licensee and two assistants supervised nine preschool-age children. The licensee complies with the licensing capacity and limits today.
All staff members present during the inspection have had their criminal record clearance verified with the CDSS Background Check System, and they are found to have eligible clearance status on file.
Childcare areas are on the ground floor, room #1, room #2, room #3, 1 bathroom, backyard, and the kitchen. Off-limit areas are on the entire second floor, an adult bathroom on the ground floor, and a garage. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. All restricted daycare areas have been appropriately blocked off from the children.
LPA and the Licensee inspected the childcare areas for any potential dangers to health and safety hazards. The childcare areas were clean and organized. The facility has age-appropriate toys, books, and activities to help children learn and play. The areas also had good heating, lighting, and ventilation, and no potential hazards posed any risk to children. Multiple fire extinguishers met the minimum specification of 2A 10 BC, and a combination of carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. There was no fireplace in the childcare areas.
