25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced required annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Zagdsodnom Yondonrentsen, who has fingerprint clearance. All adults have fingerprint clearance. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to her. There were 6 children with a helper present. The Licensee rents the 2 story single family house with living room, family room, kitchen and bathroom on the first level and 3 bedrooms, sun room and bathroom on the second level. The home also has a garage and a backyard. The licensee lives in the house with her husband and her 2 children who are minor. The operation hours of the facility are Monday to Friday from 7AM to 6PM. The Day care areas include the living room, family room, kitchen, a bathroom on the first level (next to the kitchen). and a backyard. The Off limit areas are the entire second floor, & garage. LPA toured and inspected the facility for health and hazard. The facility was clean and in order. Temperature and lighting were adequate. All toxins and harmful objects were either locked or made inaccessible to the children. Cubbies were available for the children to store their belongings by the main entrance. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning material, art and craft material, and children's furniture available for the children. There was a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and first aid supplies available in the daycare. All sharp corners were covered. Per licensee, there were no guns, no weapons, and no pets at home. The facility provides breakfast, AM/PM snacks, & lunch to the children. Cribs & playpen were available for napping. Boosters were available for feeding only. The children have to be removed from the boosters after they finish the meals. All electrical outlets were covered. The fireplaces were blocked by the shelves for toys. The lower kitchen cabinets and drawers were either latched or free of dangerous items. The licensee installed the carpets and soft cushioning to the daycare floor to prevent injury. The children's bathroom was clean. The licensee made the harmful objects inaccessible to the children in it. Potties were available for children in the bathroom. The backyard was completely fenced. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, play house, and ride-on toys available for the children. A gate was installed at the yard entrance. The licensee installed the turf (fate grass) to the ground to prevent injury. The last fire drill was conducted on 12/10/2020. Licensee had current CPR/First Aid training certificates and Mandated Reporter Training (AB1207) available for review during the inspection. The certificates will expire in 4/2023 . There were no children on special medication. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services - IMS. LPA reviewed storage of the medication, equipment/supplies and reviewed children's, personnel, and administrative records. The facility had hand sanitizer, Thermometer, and disinfectant available in the daycare area to prevent COVID19. All required postings were posted. Children's files were reviewed during the inspection. LPA also obtained a copy of the current children roster from the licensee during the inspection.
This report and notice of the site visit were discussed and delivered to the licensee via email. The licensee must be made it available to the public upon request.
