25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Xing Chun Ruan and her helper. All adults had fingerprint.clearance. The purpose of the inspection was explained her. There were 10 children with a helper and a licensee. The children were napping upon LPA arrival. Some of the children were waken up by a doorbell when LPA arrived. The licensee owned the 2 story single family house with 2 bedrooms , a bathroom, open kitchen, living room with adjacent dining area on the upper level; an in-law with a big room and a bathroom, garage, and a backyard on the ground level. The daycare area was the entire ground and Front & Back yards on the side of the house. The off-limit areas were the entire upper level and a garage. Licensee lived in the house with her child who had fingerprint clearance. LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order. Temperature and lighting were adequate. All toxins and harmful objects were made inaccessible to the children. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, play house, and learning material and children's furniture available for the children. There were a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, and first Aid supplies available in the facility. LPA did not test the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors due to napping during the inspection. All the electrical outlets had the child proof built in blockage. All the sharp corners were covered. The licensee installed the gates at the entrance of the laundry, entrance to upper level, and entrance to the backyard. Mats and cribs were used for napping. High chair was available for feeding only. zxszxThe children's bathroom was clean. All toxins and harmful objects were made inaccessible to the children. The size of the sink and toilets were suitable for the children. The backyard was clean. There were plenty of outdoor toys, ride-on-toys, and children's furniture available for children. The licensee installed the fake grass turf to the ground to prevent injury. The facility has provided breakfast, AM/PM snacks, lunch, and dinner to the children. All the required postings were posted. The licensee and a helper had current CPR/First Aid training that will expire in 4/2023 and 2024. LPA reviewed the children's file during the inspection. The facility subscribed a daycare insurance that will expire in 5/2023. Per licensee, there were no children on special medication. LPA reviewed the 15 min nap check log during the inspection. Licensee has conducted the emergency drill monthly.
