25 | On 9/9/2025 at 8:45AM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Luis Gomez met with Licensee, Angela Baquero. The purpose of today’s visit was explained and was for an unannounced, annual-random inspection. Present in the home was the license and assistant caring for 6 children. During inspection, 2 additional assistants and 2 children arrived to the facility. (3 children infant-age 5 children preschool age. The areas of the home designated for childcare use are: Lower Level: Living Room (Playroom), Bedroom #1; Bedroom #2 (Napping only); Bathroom #1; Seating Area; Backyard Area. The areas designated as ‘off-limit’ are: Lower Level: Garage; and Entire Upper Level: Kitchen; Living Room; Bedroom #3, Bedroom #4, Bathroom #2, and Bathroom #3. LPA inspected home with licensee for health and safety hazards.
At 9:20AM., the following was observed: Facility was clean, neat, with age-appropriate playthings available for the children. The floors and ground surfaces were clear of obstructions or potential hazards.
At 9:35AM., Based on observation, LPA confirmed latch to barricaded staircase has been broken. Advisory Note: Technical Violation (LIC9102TV) was issued.
LPA reminded licensee to install padding covering on exposed sharp corners in furniture. Advisory Note: Technical Violation (LIC9102TV) was issued.
LPA observed accessible furniture, materials, and blocks inspected were in were in good repair. Facility has a table/ chairs, scaled to the appropriate size. Licensee has infant feeding chairs, with detachable table component.
For scheduled nap, LPA observed plan pens and plastic cots available in bedroom #2.
Bathroom #1 was observed clean with faucet and toilet in operating condition. The cleaning detergents, compounds, and other items which can pose a danger, have been stored in off-limit areas. The facility had ventilation, lighting, and was comfortable temperature. Facility has a telephone service (cell phone); smoke/ carbon monoxide, combination detector, and fire extinguisher (2A:10BC).
