25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Aida Marques, The purpose of the inspection was explained to her, There were 3 infants present upon LPA arrival. The name of the facility was called " LITTLE BUNNY NURSERY SCHOOL". The Operation hours were Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5:30PM. The Licensee rents the apartment with two bedrooms, a Sunroom, 1 ½ bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room, and backyard that sharing with other tenants. The licensee lives in the apartment by herself. The daycare areas were a dining room, a small room between the dining room and kitchen (for eating and project), a half bathroom, a Sunroom (for napping only), & bedroom #1 – Guest room (for children passage only). The off-limit areas are the living room, bedroom #2 - Licensee's room, a full bathroom, kitchen, and backyard. LPA toured the facility for health and safety hazards. There were a fully charged Fire Extinguisher and first aid supplies. LPA didn't test the smoke and carbon monoxide detector due to children were napping during the inspection. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, and learning material for the daycare children. All the electrical outlets were covered. The licensee installed a carpet in the dining room (play room) to prevent injury, The licensee installed a gates at the entrance to the living room and kitchen to prevent children's access.. Child proof knobs were installed to the doors of the bathroom and storage, Play pens were available for napping. The licensee had current CPR/First Aid training available for review. It will expire in 9/2023. The children's bathroom was clean and in order. The lower bathroom sink cabinet had no harmful object. The licensee provided AM/PM snacks and lunch to the daycare children. The children brought their own formula to the daycare daily if they needed. Per licensee, there was no children on special medication. LPA reviewed the 15 mins log during the inspection. The licensee had touchless thermometer, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant available by the main entrance to prevent COVID19. All the required postings were posted. LPA reviewed the children's files and obtained a copy of the children's roster during the inspection. The licensee provided meals to the day care children. The licensee had current AB1207- Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training, It will expire in 3/2023.
