25 | On April 7, 2023 at approximately 9:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ly conducted an Unannounced Required - 1 Year Visit to this family child care home and met with Licensee Nicole Tavrovsky. Purpose of visit was explained. Present during the visit were Licensee, two Assistants caring for 7 children.
The day care areas are on the ground level consists of Day-care Living room, Day-care Kitchen, Day-care Room #1, Day-care Room #2, Day-care Bathroom #1, Day-care Bathroom #2, a day care room and the Yard. Off limit are on the ground level is the garage. Off limit on the second floor level is the entire second level.
Licensees' Pediatric CPR/First Aid have expired. Licensees have registered to renew the course. On this day, LPA verified one of the assistants has current Pediatric CPR & First Aid.
LPA observed the home is clean orderly and properly ventilated. LPA also observed a 2A10BC Fire extinguisher, operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide. There are no Fireplace or bodies of water in the home. Electrical outlets have child protective covers in place making them inaccessible to children. Chemical, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items of this nature are made inaccessible to children. Kitchen/Bathroom cabinets/drawers have child protective locks in place making all sharp objects or toxic house hold items inaccessible to children. First aid supplies are available for children. Facility conducts fire drills/earthquake drills on 01/05/2023 and was properly logged. Home has age appropriate toys and equipment available for the children in care.
During today's visit children's files were review and all files are up to date. All required posting documents are posted and visible.
