LPA observed the outdoor play area to be free of debris and other loose materials. The outdoor play area is enclosed by a fence that is at least four feet high. There is a sandbox present that is checked daily. Play structures are cushioned with resilient padding. Shade is available from the facility buildings or trees. Water bottles are brought outside during outdoor play so that children have access to drinking water. There are no pools or other similar bodies of water in the facility.
LPA reviewed six staff files, six children’s files, and facility records. LPA observed all staff members to have completed Mandated Reporter Training. Staff qualifications and immunization records are available for review. LPA advised that Pediatric First Aid/CPR training shall be taken with the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or an EMSA approved training program. D1 stated that they understood. See LIC9102-TV for technical violation issued today.
LPA observed all children’s files to be complete. LPA observed required postings to be posted and accessible for review upon entry to the facility and in each classroom. The facility last conducted an emergency drill on 9/17/2024. Emergency drills are properly logged and documented. The facility was constructed after January 1, 2010, and as such is exempt from lead testing requirements.
