25 | On March 13, 2025 at approximately 2:30pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with licensee, Joy Ryan, and explained the purpose of the visit. Present during LPA's visit included 11 preschool age children and 2 teaching assistants. Licensee is operating within capacity limits and ratio during LPA's visit.
Licensee lives in the multi-level home with their two minor children. All adults living and/or working in the home have fingerprint clearance on file. During LPA's visit, licensee requested to add the off limit, family room, as a day care area. In conjunction with annual inspection, LPA inspected room to be added and day care areas for health and safety hazards.
Licensee operates program Monday through Thursday 8:30am to 5:30pm and Fridays 8:30am to 4:30pm. Youngest age licensee offers program to is 2.5 years old. Family childcare home operates on the middle level of the home only.
The DAY CARE AREAS now approved are the living room (preschool room #1), dining room (preschool room #2), family room (breakfast room), hallway bathroom, art room, lobby area (cubby room) and backyard area. The OFF LIMIT AREAS are the kitchen (middle level of the home), entire ground level of home and entire third level of home.
LPA observed preschool rooms, breakfast room and art room to have a variety of toys and equipment that are in good condition. There is furniture for children's use that are age appropriate. LPA observed home to have a variety of materials and activities for children that are in good condition. Per licensee, toys and materials are sanitized often. Breakfast room includes age appropriate furniture for children's use. LPA observed windows in preschool rooms to have a child safety lock and/or child safety gate.
Home is in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There is a fireplace in the living room that is made inaccessible to children. Flooring in day care areas includes rugs that are free of stains. LPA did not observe any accessible electrical outlets. LPA did not observe any cleaning solutions or poisons in day care areas.
