25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Dina Binstok, and another licensee, Ruth Bibas. Per Ruth, she helped out at this facility because she hasn't enrolled any daycare children in her facility yet. LPA explained to her she cannot show up at any licensed facility when she gets her first daycare child in her facility. Her fingerprint clearance will be removed from this facility by that time. All adults had fingerprint clearance. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to her. There were 5 children were napping upon LPA's arrival. Per the licensee, she has a lot of part-timers, so the total enrollment was over 12 children. The facility operation hours were Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 pm; Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 2 PM. The licensee rented the 2 stories single-family house that included two bedrooms, 1 bath, a living room, Kitchen with an adjacent dining area on the second floor. The ground level had a playroom, activity room, food preparation area, bathroom, and garage. The Daycare areas were the entire ground level and backyard. The off-limit areas were the entire upper level and the garage. The daycare's entrance was next to the garage door. The facility was clean and in order. The temperature and lighting were adequate. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning materials, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repaired, and available indoors. There was a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working 2in1 smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and first aid supplies available in the facility. All the electrical outlets were covered. All the lower kitchen cabinets and drawers had no harmful objects. The children's bathroom was clean and in order. The lower bathroom sink cabinet and drawers were free of harmful objects. Per the licensee, there were no guns, weapons, or pets in the house. Cots were used for napping. The facility has provided AM/PM snacks and lunch to the daycare children. The outdoor play area was clean and in order. There were some outdoor toys, ride-on toys, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repair available outdoors. Per the licensee, there were no children on special medication recently. The facility posted all the required postings. The licensee and another licensee had current Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training that will expire in 9/2023. The licensee had current CPR/First Aid Training that will expire on 10/2023. LPA reviewed the children's file and roster during the inspection. LPA also obtained a copy of the roster during the inspection.
