25 | On August 28, 2023., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van met with Licensee Jing Liu and her helper for an unannounced case management inspection capacity increase. The Licensee requested to increase from 8 to 14. The licensee’s helper provided a Mandarin translation. The purpose of the inspection was to process a capacity increase requested by the Licensee. Four children were supervised by the Licensee and helper today. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
LPA inspected the facility for Health and Safety Hazards. Daycare Areas are on the first floor, consisting of a living room, bathroom, and front yard. During the inspection, the Licensee requested to remove the bedroom and study room/reception room from the daycare area. The new off-limit areas are the kitchen, storage room, bedroom, study room/reception room, and garage on the first floor and the entire upper level. All off-limit areas are appropriately barricaded. The facility has no pools, spas, or other bodies of water. The facility has a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguishers, and a working telephone. The facility has age-appropriate furniture. The furniture is steady and in good repair. The facility floor is in good repair and free of any hazards. The children's bathroom is in good working condition with proper sanitation. All the materials and surfaces accessible to the children are clean and toxic-free. During the inspection, LPA observed one of the baby cribs with toys attached to the side of the crib. A technical violation was issued.
