Licensing Program Analyst, LPA Yee conducted a pre-licensing inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Yolanda Amador and her son, Juan. This is a change of location from 1050 Capitol Ave, SF, CA; license number 384004421. LPA inspected the entire home with Yolanda. Current residents are Yolanda, her two grandchildren ages 14 years 9 years old daughters. Days and hours of operation: Monday to Friday between 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Day Care Areas (lower level): living room, bedroom #1, bedroom #2, bathroom #1, bathroom #2 and backyard. The off-limit area: The entire upper level, garage. Licensee leased this home. The lease agreement is obtained during the inspection. The home is equipped with a carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, and fire extinguisher that meets the fire department standard are available. LPA advised the to conduct emergency drills once every six months and keep a log sheet.
The licensee has required immunization records on file. CPR and 1st aid are current until 7/17/2023.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Sections 102417. LPA review AB 1207 with the Licensee. As of January 1, 2018, all staff members are required to complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years. The training can be obtained online at www.mandatedreporterca.com. AB 1207 certificate for the licensee is on file . The facility has a small dog and kept in the off limit areas (upper level).

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with applicant, and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed applicant of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records To Keep In Your Family Child Care Homes, children’s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted.
Individual Infant Sleeping Plan (LIC9227) form was discussed and provided. All infants shall be checked every 15 minutes and keep a log sheets. Technical support for COVID was discussed. Website for forms and regulations: www.ccld.ca.gov.


Prior to licensure the licensee may submit photos of the backyard after set up.
