25 | Licensing Program Analyst, LPA Yee conducted a pre-licensing inspection today. The facility has requested an increase in capacity from a small license to a large license. LPA met with the licensee, Yolanda Amador, her son, Juan Valderramos and 5 children. Yolanda speaks limited English, Juan is here to help with the language translation. LPA Yee, and son, Juan Valderramos inspected the day-care areas. Current residents are Yolanda her two grandchildren ages 15 years and 9 years old daughters. Days and hours of operation: Monday to Friday between 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Day Care Areas (lower level): kitchen, bedroom #1, bedroom #2, bathroom #1, bathroom #2, and backyard. The off-limit area: The entire upper level, garage. Licensee leased this home. The lease agreement is on file. The home is equipped with a carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, and fire extinguisher that meets the fire department standard are available. The fire clearance for a large license has been approved and on file. LPA advised them to conduct emergency drills once every six months and keep a log sheet.
The licensee has required immunization records on file. CPR and 1st aid are current until 7/17/2023. The facility has a small dog and is kept in off-limit areas. The facility does not have a body of water such as a swimming pool, or hot tub. Discipline policy was discussed. The facility will provide morning snacks, lunches, and afternoon snacks.
LPA review AB 1207 with the Licensee. As of January 1, 2018, all staff members are required to complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years. The training can be obtained online at www.mandatedreporterca.com. AB 1207 certificate for the applicant is on file. The Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 4-20-2021.
The incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services - IMS.
