25 | On February 12, 2025., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van conducted unannounced case management and met with the Licensees, Melanie Wang Lim and Lanford Lim. The Purpose of this inspection was to incorporate the two upper portions of the backyard into the license. Today, the Licensee supervised three children (1 infant and two preschoolers)
The licensees were previously approved to use the lower portion of the backyard. Today, LPA inspected the current daycare areas as well as the newly requested middle and upper sections of the yard for health and safety hazards. The backyard is divided into three distinct sections: lower, middle, and upper. Due to the incline of each section, the licensee has installed metal rail panel fences to separate them, ensuring that children can play safely without the risk of accidental falls. Every incline has a staircase with two steps, handrails, and gates.
As the children head to the backyard, they walk through the garage to access their yard. LPA reminded the licensees to ensure the pathway remains clear of any clutter. LPA observed that the backyard is clean, well-organized, and completely enclosed by fences. In the middle section of the backyard, there is artificial turf where various toys and play structures are arranged. The children’s playthings and equipment are in good condition and well-maintained. Additionally, the upper part of the yard features a cement surface, which the licensee intends to utilize as a space for children to ride their bikes and cars.
