Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Yee conducted an Unannounced Annual Required inspection today. The purpose of the visit was explained. Present at the facility are licensee, Leticia, her husband, one helper and 6 children (4 infants). Total children enrolled are 07. The facility personnel summary report was reviewed with Leticia and she said it's correct. Current residents are Leticia, her husband, and their two sons..

Daycare areas are (lower level):one large room, bathroom inside the large room and backyard. The remaining areas are off limit. During the visit LPA observed one of the room located on the upper level is set up as a daycare room. The second level is off limit. LPA is unsure if the second level has fire clearance approval. The licensee said she will not use the upper level starting today until she check with the fire Marshall and will notify CCL.The licensee CPR, 1ST AID is current until 11/2024.

LPA observed the home is clean orderly and properly ventilated. Fire extinguisher is size 2A10BC. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide is available. There are no bodies of water such as swimming pool and/or hot tub in the home. Electrical outlets have child protective covers in place making them inaccessible to children. Chemical, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items of this nature are made inaccessible to children. Kitchen/Bathroom cabinets/drawers have child protective locks in place making all sharp objects or toxic house hold items inaccessible to children. First aid supplies are available for children. Disciplinary policy was discussed with Licensee today. Home has age appropriate toys and equipment available for the children in care. The facility provides meals. The last fire drills was conducted 10-13-23.

LPA discussed the Mandated Reporter Training, AB1207 that was effective on 1/1/2018. All staff must take the training and keep the certificate on file. The training needs to be renewed once every 2 years.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and
volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with the licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at
https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and
recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased
equipment.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee, Leticia was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

During the exit interview, the licensee, Leticia, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
