25 | On March 2, 2023 at approximately 9:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo, met with head of school, Stephanie Silverman, and center director, Martha Briseno, for a pre-licensing inspection. The facility is requesting a preschool application for a capacity of 18 preschool children (3 years to 6 years old). Licensing department received facility's fire clearance for the 18 preschool children 02/23/2023.
The facility will operate Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm. The facility also operates as a private Montessori school that enrolls elementary and middle school children. Elementary and middle school children are maintained separate from preschool program children. Head of school and center director are aware elementary and middle school children are not allowed to co-mingle with preschool children.
Children will be signed in and out of the facility with children's authorized representatives' signatures. Head of school and center director are aware singing in/out records must be made readily available for review during an inspection. The designated center director/site supervisor will be Martha Briseno. The facility was inspected indoors for health and safety hazards.
Indoors: The facility is a multi-level facility that includes 4 classrooms total, front lobby, staff kitchen, and multi-purpose area. The preschool program will operate in Children's House classroom only, located on the first level of the facility, next to front lobby. The other 3 classrooms are utilized for the elementary and middle school children only.
The Children's House classroom measures for 707.36 sq. ft. allowing for a capacity of 20 children. LPA observed classroom to be clean, equipped with furnishings, Montessori toys and materials that were age appropriate, safe and in good working condition. Classroom was observed to be separated into sections that include materials for practical life, language, math, art and care for the environment. Carpet and flooring was observed to be clean without any health or safety concerns.
