25 | On March 2, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van conducted an announced relocation & capacity increase and met with the Licensee, Situ Dangui, and her daughter-in-law, acting as an interpreter. The Licensee has requested to relocate from # 384001912 to this location. During the inspection, the Licensee decided to proceed with the relocation process and request a small FCCH License, and stated she would pursue the Large License in the future. Four children are supervised by the Licensee and her helper (2 infants and 2 preschoolers). The Licensee owns the home, which consists of 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms on the second floor, and the ground floor has two rooms that the Licensee currently uses as storage rooms. The home residents are the Licensee and her husband. All criminal record clearances are on file. Daycare areas are the living room, dining room, bedroom #1, and bathroom on the second floor. Off-limit areas are bedroom #2 on the second floor, the garage, and the entire ground floor. Per Licensee, the bedroom will be the isolation area for sick/ill children.
LPA and the Licensee inspected the entire home for Health and Safety Hazards. The home is clean and orderly and has sufficient lighting and ventilation. The fire extinguisher is fully charged with a 3A 40 BC specification. The home has multiple combinations of working carbon monoxide & smoke detectors installed. LPA arrived during the children's napping. Therefore, LPA did not test the smoke alarms. Licensee stated that the smoke alarms were brand-new and had just been installed. All harmful objects, sharp objects, and toxins are stored in the kitchen with child-proof magnetic locks. LPA observed that all off-limited areas were barricaded.
