25 | On February 16, 2023 at approximately 9:25am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ly, conducted a scheduled Pre-Licensing inspection and met with Applicant, Ashley Trostel. There were licensee and an assistant caring for 10 children, two of whom were applicant's own children. LPA and Applicant inspected the entire home for Health and Safety Hazards. Applicant rents this home and resides here with her husband and two minor children. Adults in the home have criminal record clearance on file. Per Applicant, operating days and hours are from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:30pm. Facility is providing morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack to the children.
On the second level of the home, the home consists of a livingroom with blocked off fire place, a dinning room, two bedrooms, a bathroom. On the ground level, there is the garage, the laundry room and the yard.
Day care Areas are the living room as the playroom, dining room as the classroom, the bathroom and the yard. Off Limit Areas are the entire ground level and the garage. Per licensee, children will be passing through the laundry room to get to the yard. Applicant’s CPR expires 05/2024
Applicant has Completed Mandated Reporter Training. Applicant and Assistants' Immunization Record are on file.
A Fire Clearance was granted on 02/06/2023 by the San Francisco Fire Department.
LPA observed the home is clean orderly and properly ventilated. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. LPA observed a 2A10BC Fire extinguisher, operable smoke detector and carbon monoxide in the kitchen area. LPA observed no bodies of water nor fireplace in the home. Electrical outlets have child protective covers in place making them inaccessible to children. Chemical, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items of this nature are made inaccessible to children. Kitchen/Bathroom cabinets/drawers have child protective covers in place. Per Licensee, home does not have firearms or dangerous weapons.
