25 | Licensing Program Analyst, LPA Yee conducted a pre-licensing inspection today. The original licensee retired (384001678). The co-licensee will take over. This is a change of ownership inspection. LPA and Darsy toured the daycare areas for health and safety hazards. Current residents are Darsy Herrera and her husband. Darsy's mom visit her from time to time. Days and hours of operation: Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM.
Day Care Areas: (lower level): garage converted into day-care, classroom #1, dining room, side bedroom used as an infant nap room, and backyard. Off-limit areas: The entire upper level is off-limit. The licensee owns the home. LPA reviewed the control of the property during the visit. The home is equipped with a carbon monoxide detector, a smoke detector, and a fire extinguisher size 2A10B. LPA advised them to conduct emergency drills once every six months and keep a log sheet.
CPR and 1st aid are current until 09-2023. The facility does not have a body of water such as a swimming pool, or hot tub. Discipline policy was discussed. The facility will provide morning snacks, afternoon snacks, and lunches.
LPA review AB 1207 with the Licensee. As of January 1, 2018, all staff members are required to complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years. The training can be obtained online at www.mandatedreporterca.com.
