25 | On 8/2/2024, at approximately 10:40AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jonathan Tse conducted an unannounced annual visit at the facility. LPA met with Licensee, Neeta Puri (L1), and explained the purpose of the visit. Present during the visit was L1, four helpers, five preschool age children, and three infants. The facility is in compliance with staffing and ratio requirements on this day. The facility’s operating hours are from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
Daycare Areas: Living Room, Science Room, Drama Room, Kitchen, Jungle Room, Bathroom #2, and Backyard.
Off-limits Areas: Bedroom, Bathroom #1, Storage Closet, Utility Closet, and the entirety of the upper level.
LPA and L1 inspected the home for any health or safety hazards. The home is equipped with a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher. There is a carbon monoxide detector that was observed to be operational. There are no fireplaces in the daycare areas. Poisons, cleaning detergents, and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to children. Electrical outlets are covered or obstructed by furniture when not in use to be inaccessible to children in care. Drawers and cabinets are fitted with childproof latches where necessary. LPA advised that childproof doorknobs be installed on closet doors that are not meant for children to use. L1 stated that they understood. Stairs are barricaded to be inaccessible to children under the age of five.
LPA observed age-appropriate toys and learning materials to be present in the facility. Children have access to art supplies, manipulatives, and books. Furniture was observed to be age-appropriate and free of rough or sharp edges.
