25 | On August 18, 2026, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Van and Cruz conducted an announced annual inspection and met with the licensee, XiuLing Wu. LPAs explained the purpose of the inspection, and the licensee granted LPAs’ access to the home. Upon entry, children were preparing for the afternoon snacks. The licensee and an assistant supervised 12 children (four infants and eight preschoolers). The licensee complied with her licensed capacity and limitations.
LPAs verified that the licensee, staff, and all individuals residing in the home have criminal record clearances through the CDSS Background Check System and maintain eligible status.
The licensee reported no changes to previously approved childcare areas. Childcare areas include the second-level living room, dining room, primary bedroom/nap room, second-floor bathroom, sunroom, and backyard. Off-limits areas include two bedrooms, the second-level kitchen, and the lower level, including the garage and remaining portions of the home.
The facility operates Monday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
LPAs began the walkthrough on the second level. The living room was clean, organized, and equipped with age-appropriate books, puzzles, and role-play toys. Heating, lighting, and ventilation were adequate. The dining room was clean and served as a space for meals and activities. In the primary bedroom/nap room, LPAs observed three playpens, all free of blankets, pillows, and toys, with securely fitted sheets.
