25 | On 05/21/2025, at 3:08 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Badger and Leong arrived at the above-named facility to conduct an annual inspection. LPAs were granted entrance and met by Licensee, Hassel Gonzalez. LPAS explained the purpose of today’s visit.
Present in the facility were the Licensee, 3 infants, 8 preschool children, the licensee’s assistant and the licensee's adult daughter, and the licensee's school aged daughter. All adults present, living and working in the home are fingerprint cleared and associated, confirmed through a check on the CDSS Guardian Background Check System. The facility was found to be operating within capacity limits on this day.
The hours of the operation are from Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.
DAY CARE AREAS: Living room, bedroom #2, Kitchen, Dining room, Hallway bathroom, and the backyard. However, the kitchen, dining room, and backyard are currently not set up for daycare use. The licensee agreed to these three areas being off limits until they are rearranged for the day-care children.
OFF-LIMIT AREAS: Bedroom # 1, Attic, and the Studio on the ground level.
LPAs inspected day-care areas for health and safety hazards. The air quality was comfortable and cool, and the temperature and ventilation were proper.
There were a variety of age-appropriate toys and equipment in the home which were in good condition. No fireplaces were observed in day-care areas. There are no pools or bodies of water on the premises.
All cleaning supplies, poisons, and other chemicals were stored inaccessible to children. All children sleep on mats in bedroom # 2.
There was a fully charged fire extinguisher, a smoke alarm, and a carbon monoxide detector that were all observed to be in good working condition. There is a working telephone on site. The phone numbers listed for the Licensee are current. Per the Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home.
This visit will continue at a later date.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the licensee, Hassel Gonzalez.
