13 | On Thursday, March 3, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvira Sierra and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Bettina Engelman conducted a complaint investigation visit and met with Director, Melissa Prouty. The purpose of the inspection visit is to deliver the finding for the above allegation. Upon arrival to the facility LPA inspected all areas accessible to children, took census and conducted observations. LPA observed 5 staff members supervising 47 children.
The Reporting Party (RP) alleged staff failed to provide adequate supervision, resulting in child # 1 (C1) being injured. LPA Sierra conducted the investigation and interview multiple staff members, parents, obtained pertaining documents and observed the care and supervision of the children. During each visit, LPA observed appropriate care and supervision and staffing ratios. LPA learned that staff documents child injuries and that parents are notified when children get hurt. Staff monitor the children and promptly address and report child injuries and behavior concerns. Child files that were reviewed did not contain an unusual amount of Ouch Reports, and parents who were interviewed did not express concern regarding the alleged lack of supervision.
