Based on interviews with childcare parents, LPA learned that multiple childcare parents who were interviewed expressed their satisfaction with reporting requirements and communication of childcare teachers with childcare parents regarding children’s activities, behaviors, incidents, and/or injuries. In addition, LPA learned that multiple childcare parents who were interviewed had no concerns regarding children supervision at this time, and multiple childcare children confirmed that childcare staff supervised their activities while they were in the teachers’ care.
During his own classroom observations, LPA Nguyen observed an adequate level of children supervision. LPA also learned that teachers at CAPC—Central 1 have implemented supervision plans and strategies to ensure the safety of the children while they attend the childcare center. During today’s visit, LPA Nguyen discussed with facility representatives some effective strategies for children’s supervision—in all inside and outside areas of the facility.
Based on interviews with childcare parents, LPA learned that multiple parents who were interviewed had no concerns regarding childcare teachers speaking inappropriately to childcare children at this time.
Based on conflicting information obtained from the interviews, LPA Nguyen is unable to determine whether facility staff did or did not leave childcare children unattended, speak inappropriately to childcare children, and properly report incidents of children’s activities, interactions, and behaviors. Therefore, these complaint allegations were found to be UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur at the facility.
An exit interview was conducted in which appeal rights were provided and a copy of this report was provided and reviewed with the facility representative/center manager, Elizabeth Medina. A Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
