25 | On 4/22/24, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Carla Polanco met with Licensee, Maria Arroyo for the purpose of conducting a case management inspection to increase the facility capacity. Licensee applied to change her Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Fire clearance was granted by Stockton Fire Department on 4/11/24. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Licensee owns the home. Licensee provided proof of home ownership, prior to today's visit. Licensee’s CPR/First Aid certification was verified and expires 11/2024. Mandated Reporter Training certification was verified and expires 02/2025. During the inspection LPA reviewed large family childcare home capacity limitations with licensee.
LPA and Licensee toured the home inside and out. Off limit areas of the facility include the entire upstairs, laundry room and garage. LPA toured the backyard and verified toxic and hazardous items were inaccessible to children in care. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter the off-limit areas. LPA observed functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and a fire extinguisher that meets tittle 22 regulations. LPA observed that cleaning materials were inaccessible. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home.
