25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Christopher Jackson and Salene Mayberry met with Licensee, Danielle Solt, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. There were five children present at the time of inspection. Licensee's operating hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM. to 6:00 PM. In addition to today's annual inspection, the licensee has applied for a large license. The department has received a fire clearance from the Tracy Fire Department clearing the home for a large family home day care on 05/11/22.
All adults subject to criminal background review have obtained criminal record clearance. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limits areas all bedrooms, laundry room, garage, two bathrooms and backyard pool area. LPAs observed the required postings and a working phone. A fire extinguisher that meets regulations. LPAs observed dual smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and verified they were functional. LPAs toured the kitchen area and verified knives were inaccessible to children in care. LPAs observed front room area with age appropriate toys for children. LPAs observed a restroom and verified that hazardous and toxic items were inaccessible to children in care. LPAs observed weapons in the home stored according to Title 22 regulations. There is an in ground pool on the property. The pool fence meets Title 22 regulations. LPAs tested the fence gate and observed the gate opens away from the body of water and self closes and latch's. The side outdoor play space is in a fenced yard.
