25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lauren Scott and David Nguyen met with Site Supervisor, Nesia Osorio for the purpose of an unannounced Annual inspection. Facility days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday, with AM session from 8:15am-11:15am and PM session from 12:45pm- 3:45pm. Facility operates with the school district and closes June and July and reopens in August. There were 19 children present during today's inspection. LPA reviewed the electronic sign in/out book and observed that the children are properly signed in.
LPA toured the facility inside and out. LPA observed that hazardous items (disinfectants, cleaning solutions etc.) were inaccessible to children in care. LPA reviewed staffing ratios, first aid supplies, furniture, equipment, fire drills and drinking water. LPA observed all required forms to be posted. LPA observed functioning carbon monoxide and smoke alarms. There are adequate toys and equipment available for children. Outdoor play area was toured. On Monday, May 8, 2023 CCLD was notified that a new play structure was built and is ready for inspection. LPA toured the structure and saw the structure was age appropriate, stating ages 2-5 years. The play structure appeared to be in good repair, and there is sufficient cushioning (artificial grass) under the play structure. As of today, the playground is available for children to use. Facility provides snack to both sessions that is prepared at the elementary school and brought to the classroom.
All staff present during today's inspection have a fingerprint clearance. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
