25 | On 02/05/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvira Sierra conducted an annual inspection and met with Licensee, Tatiana mccray. In addition Licensee is requesting to make the backyard accessible to the children that was previously off limits. Per Licensee facility hours of operation remain the same M-F 07:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m. Licensee stated there are no new residents living in the home. Form (LIC 126), Entrance Checklist for Family Child Care Homes, was provided to Licensee. Present in the facility was licensee caring for her infant child. No daycare children were present.
A health and safety inspection of all areas accessible to children was conducted and the following was observed. Home appears orderly and suitable for children. Off-limits areas include: All Bedrooms, bathroom # 2 (inside master bedroom), left and right side portion of the backyard, garage, front yard, and driveway. Living room is only used for transition to the bathroom. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. Hazardous items were stored inaccessible to children. Napping equipment and age-appropriate toys/play equipment were observed. The licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. No bodies of water were observed. A working telephone, 2A10BC fire extinguisher and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were observed at the home. LPA inspected the backyard to make it accessible to the children. Backyard is fenced for supervision and was observed free of any hazards. LPA approved the backyard to be used for daycare children on today’s inspection. The licensee was advised that prior to making alterations or additions to the home or grounds, the licensee should notify the Department of the proposed changes. Facility provides meals and transportation for clients. Last fire drill was conducted last on 01/31/25 and is properly documented.
Preventative health and current pediatric CPR and first aid was verified for Licensee. CPR expires on 08/25. Licenses’ Mandated reporter training expires on 01/2027.
