25 | On 03/12/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Elvira Sierra conducted Plan of Correction(POC) for deficiencies cited on 03/06/25 and met with Licensee, Karla Maddox. In addition LPA conducted a follow up inspection for the requested increase of License capacity. Licensees is requesting an increasing of capacity from 8 to 14 children. Fire Safety Inspection Clearance was granted on 03/05/25 for a total capacity of 14 children. Facility hours of operation are M-F from 06:00am to 06:00pm year-round with periodic break throughout the year. Upon arrival present in the facility was Licensee and Licensee's assistant caring for 3 children.
During the inspection LPA Sierra observed the following:
- Hot tub cover was locked using hot tub cover clips that required a key to open. LPA advised to make sure clips are not broken and that the hot tub always remain closed and locked.
- Storage unit door was locked with a padlock. LPA advised Licensee to ensure safety and security by maintaining storage door in a closed and locked state.
Acknowledgement of receipt of licensing report was observed on children's file. Deficiencies cited on 03/06/25 are cleared and corrected on today's visit.
Effective today 03/12/25, facility is approved for a Large Family Child Care License to serve 12 children (when there is an assistant present) with no more than 4 infants, or capacity of 14 children when 1 child is enrolled in Transitional Kindergarten or above and 1 child at least age 6 with a maximum of 3 infants. Without an assistant present, the ratios revert to that of a small family childcare home. Licensees own the home and proof of control of property is on file with Licensing Office.
No Deficiencies were observed during today's inspection. A notice of site visit was posted and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee, Karla Maddox. |
