25 | On January 30th, 2024, at 9:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), David Nguyen met with Licensee, Marissa Christiano, for the purpose of conducting a change-of-location inspection. The licensee is requesting a change of location from the old facility with license number 394500725 to the current location. LPA was granted for entry into the facility by licensee. Licensee's operating hours are Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM. to 6:00 PM. Meals—breakfast, AM snack, lunch, and PM snack—are provided to daycare children. Purified water from water service is provided to daycare children for drinking water.
All adults subject to criminal background review have obtained criminal record clearance. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. The facility is a detached single family two-story home that consists of four (4) bedrooms, two and half (2.5) bathrooms, a loft, and an attached 2-car garage. LPA and Licensee toured the entire home inside and outside. Off-limits areas in the home include the entire upstairs, entire backyard, living room, kitchen, dining room, closet under staircase downstair in the hallway, an attached 2-car garage, and an entire backyard. Licensee acknowledged that children are never allowed in the off-limit areas. Off-limit areas will remain inaccessible by baby gates, baby latch, and SUPERVISION. On-limits areas in the home include daycare room and half bathroom in the hallway.
