INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There is one infant classroom located in Room #4, two toddler classrooms located in Rooms #1 and #2, and two preschool classrooms located in Room #3 and the multipurpose room. LPA observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, and cubbies in all classrooms. LPA observed napping cots for the toddlers and preschool children. LPA observed 10 cribs for the infants located in the infant crib room. There is a first aid kit in each of the classrooms. Medications will be stored in each classroom. LPA observed cleaning disinfectants are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Applicant stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. LPA observed water fountain in the multipurpose room and water jugs available in each classroom. LPA observed a functional carbon monoxide detector in all classrooms. LPA observed an electronic sign-in/sign-out system.
LPA measured the infant classroom (Room #4) only and used current measurements from report dated 10/10/2023 under the current preschool facility number 394500629, therefore LPA did not take measurements for the toddler and preschool components. The infant classroom space (Room #4) contains a total of 1,004, the toddler classroom spaces (Room #1 and #2) contains a total of 1,131 square feet, and the preschool classroom spaces (Room #3 and multipurpose room) contains a total of 2,326 square feet, which will accommodate Licensees request for 18 infants, 24 toddlers, and 48 preschool children. There are two toilets and two sinks located in Room #3, three sinks located in the multipurpose room, four toilets and four sinks located in the hallway, two toilets and two sinks located in Room #1, one sink located in Room #4, and one sink located in the crib room. LPA observed a changing table within arm's reach of a sink. There is a private restroom for staff located in the multipurpose room. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024). Children who become ill during the day will be isolated in the office area and will use the staff restroom, if necessary.
