25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Erwin Tjhia met with Applicant, Sruthi Vijayaram for the purpose of a prelicensing evaluation. Applicant's tentative hours are Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 5:30 PM.
All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
The applicant provided proof of control of property.
A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and out. The two story home has 5 bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms. The off-limits area in the home are entire upstairs, both garages, pantries, kitchen, and living room. Outdoor play area was toured. There are no bodies of water on the premises. LPA toured the bedrooms and verified toxic and hazardous items were inaccessible to children in care. Off-limits areas will remain inaccessible to children by doorknob covers, closed locked door, baby latches, baby gates, and supervision
Functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were observed in the hallway. LPA observed cleaners stored in laundry on a shelf inaccessible to children in care. There is no fireplace in the home. 2A10BC fire extinguisher and first aid kit were observed in the classroom. Applicant stated there are no weapons in the home.
