25 | On 09/30/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvira Sierra conducted a follow up prelicensing inspection and met with Applicant, Carla Stovall. Applicant is requesting a change of location from previous facility (# 393617658) to current location. Facility tentative operating hours are Monday through Friday 24 hours a day. Applicant was advised never to exceed 24 hours of consecutive care. No children were present during the inspection. Fire clearance was approved on 09/23/24 for a capacity of 14 children.
During today's visit LPA inspected the fence surrounding the in ground swimming pool located in the backyard. LPA observed that there is a mesh pool fence installed to enclosed the swimming pool. Mesh pool fence is attached to the existing wood fence. LPA observed that the poles are drilled into the ground/concrete for sturdiness. The self closing/latching mechanism was moved to be in compliance with regulations. LPA observed that self latching/closing mechanic is no more than 6" below the top of the gate. In addition gate was observed to swing open away from the body of water and has a latch release knob. LPA advised applicant to make sure the fence and the latching mechanism is always in good repair and operating condition. Facility is in compliance with Title 22 regulation requirements and is approve to receive daycare children.
Effective today 09/30/24, facility is approved for a Large Family Child Care License to serve 12 children (when there is an assistant present) with no more than 4 infants, or capacity of 14 children when 1 child is enrolled in Transitional Kindergarten or above and 1 child at least age 6 with a maximum of 3 infants. Without an assistant present, the ratios revert to that of a small family childcare home.
