13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kesha Lewis arrived at the facility unannounced to deliver findiings for the above allegations. LPA was greeted by staff. LPA explained the reason for the visit. LPA checked the outside temperature before entering the facility it was 105*F.
LPA Lewis conducted a facility tour and observation. LPA conducted facility tour with staff LPA observed facility common areas, various resident rooms, kitchen area and hallways. Facility was observed to contain no foul odors. Room temperature was 85*F. Smoke alarms and carbon detectors are functioning properly. Current census is 6. No obstructions to fire exits noted during today's tour. LPA observed the thermostat was set to off and the temperature read 85*. Staffed turned the unit on at that time. LPA had staff remove the cover to take pictures and had staff switch thermostat to auto. (photo taken). LPA interviewed R1-R3 all residents confirmed it was cool in the facility today and that the air conditioner had been on. Therefor this allegation is found to be UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding that the complaint is Unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred. Per California Code of Regulations (CCRs) - Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 8, no deficiencies cited. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was given.
