25 | On 8/11/26, at 12:15 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Sapien conducted an unannounced annual random inspection of the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with Natalie Jordan, Licensee of the FCCH, and explained the purpose of the inspection. The LPA, in the company of Licensee, toured the FCCH throughout. The home possesses 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The home is a single story residence. The areas that are available for day care children are the following: living room (primary playroom), backroom (a classroom), one bathroom, and most of the backyard. The remainder of the home is excluded from childcare services, including each bedroom. In the house, inaccessible areas and rooms are made off limits by child safety locks and gates. At the time of the inspection, LPA observed 7 children present, 1 of whom was an infant. Aside from the Licensee, the Licensee's adult daughter was also present helping with the care and supervision of children (cleared and associated).
LPA observed the FCCH to be clean and in order. The bathroom, utilized for childcare, was clean and free of toxic items. LPA observed bathroom cabinets to be free of hazardous supplies. LPA observed sharps, cleaning supplies, and medication all stored in locked and/or elevated cabinets in the kitchen. No children currently require or use medication. LPA observed a number of First Aid Kits present for day care services.
LPA observed age-appropriate toys, furnishings, and equipment throughout the primary playroom and classroom. In the primary playroom, LPA observed a wood-burning stove that was enclosed by a child safety gate making it inaccessible to children in care. Licensee informed LPA that the fireplace is not used during day care. LPA observed no animals present throughout the home and confirmed that this was the case with the Licensee.
LPA observed relevant licensing forms and documents posted prominently in the primary playroom. LPA observed separate smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors in the classroom of the day care. The smoke detector (CONT. 809-C, Page 2)
