25 | On 6/8/26, at 1:10 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Sapien conducted an unannounced annual/random inspection of the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with Janet Anderson, Licensee of the FCCH, and explained the nature and purpose of the inspection. The LPA, in the company of Licensee, toured the interior and exterior of the FCCH. The home is a 3 bedroom and 2 1/2 bathroom single story residence. The areas that are accessible for day care children are as follows: living room, family room, dining room, master bedroom, kitchen, backyard, and the driveway out front. The remainder of the home is excluded from childcare services. Inaccessible areas are made secure by child safety locks and gates. At the time of the inspection, LPA observed 14 day care children present, 2 of whom were infants. Besides the Licensee, LPA also observed the Licensee's husband and one other adult present at the time of the inspection (both cleared and associated).
LPA observed the FCCH to be clean and orderly. The bathroom that is utilized for childcare is clean and free of toxins. LPA observed child safety locks attached to each bathroom cabinet. LPA observed personal medications, cleaning solutions, and sharps all in elevated kitchen cabinets. No children currently require medication. Additional cleaning supplies are stored in the laundry room of the house, which is off limits for children in care.
LPA observed age-appropriate toys, furnishings, and equipment throughout the indoor play areas. LPA observed one barricaded fireplace within the home. Licensee attested to LPA that the fireplace is not used during day care hours. Additionally in the home, LPA observed one smaller dog present on site. Licensee relayed to LPA the pet is current on their vaccines, however, doesn't have interactions with children in care. LPA observed relevant licensing forms and documents posted prominently throughout the home. LPA also observed a separate smoke and carbon monoxide detector in the hallway of the home.
