25 | On 3/5/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Shane Loftus conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection of the above-mentioned Child Care Center (CCC) to address an incident report received by CCLD on 2/27/25. LPA notes 5 children are in care at the time of the inspection along with 3 teachers providing care and supervision.
During drop off on 2/27/25, S1 was informed by S2 that C1 was left in the driver’s seat of a car while the car was running. P1 was dropping off two siblings of C1 at the center. It is estimated that the duration C1 was left in the vehicle was 5 – 10 minutes. It should be noted C1 does not attend the CCC.
Site Supervisor provided LPA an account of what transpired. S1 was informed of the incident after P1 left. A family service advocate was notified and spoke with P1 explaining that what occurred is not allowed and referenced a policy that P1 was informed of during enrollment. S1 believes this may have happened in the past as P1 is very quick at drop offs, usually not having time to speak with staff. Facility staff is now mindful of this moving forward.
No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. A Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements may result in a civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Facility Representative Penny Glass.
