25 | On 9/22/2022, at 9:50 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection at the above Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with the Wishing Well Administrative Director, Ms. Hilary Soldati. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection.
At 10:30 AM, during the tours of the CCC, LPA observed there were total of 35 children present at the time of the inspection. Rose Class in room 12 had 13 day care children, Hummingbird in the outdoor activity area had 8 day care children, and the Buttercup Class in the outdoor space area had 14 day care children. CCC failed to maintain the capacity limitation of 26 children. On September 9, 2022, LPA conducted a 1 Year Required inspection and cited the CCC/Licensee for operating the child care center beyond the conditions and limitations specified on the license.
Ms. Soldati stated that (former) Director Kim Wishon had started filling out the application to increase the capacity to 44 and to license additional room but was not able to submit to the Department due to a family emergency. Ms. Soldati added, the school was not able to cut down the children's attendance because the parents of these children require care while at work.
During today's inspection, a civil penalty was assessed for failure to correct the deficiency cited on 9/9/2022. The Civil Penalty will continue to accrue $100 per day per violation until the deficiency is corrected. A civil penalty totaling $1000.00 (10 calendar days x $100/day) was assessed.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Administrative Director, Ms Hilary Soldati. |
