25 | On 8/17/26, at 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Sapien conducted an unannounced annual random inspection at the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with Cindy Ann Taylor, Licensee of the FCCH, and explained the purpose of the inspection. The LPA, in the company of Licensee, toured the FCCH throughout its entirety. The home possesses 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The home is a single story home. The areas that are accessible for day care children are the following: entry room (primary playroom), one bedroom (napping and nursery room), one bathroom, and most of the backyard. The remainder of the home is excluded from childcare services, including the remaining bedrooms (3). In the home, excluded rooms and spaces are made secure by child safety locks and gates among other devices. At the time of the inspection, LPA observed 4 children present, 1 of which was an infant. The Licensee's adult son was also present at the time of the inspection (cleared and associated).
LPA observed the FCCH to be clean and orderly. The bathroom, utilized for childcare, was found to be clean and free of toxins. LPA observed bathroom cabinets to be free of hazardous items. Cabinets also possessed added child safety locks. LPA observed cleaning supplies in a cabinet beneath the kitchen sink, which was locked. Personal medication is stored in elevated kitchen cabinets and hallway cabinets, areas that are each out of reach of children in care. No children currently require or use medication. Sharps, like knives, are stored within a locked kitchen drawer and on an elevated kitchen counter. Licensee informed LPA that there is a First Aid Kit present in the residence for the day care as well.
LPA observed age-appropriate toys, furnishings, and equipment throughout the indoor spaces for the day care. In the living room, an excluded area, LPA observed a wood-burning fireplace that is enclosed by a metal cover. Licensee informed LPA that the fireplace is not used within day care hours. LPA also observed one larger dog present within the property. The Licensee informed LPA that dog's vaccinations are current and that children in care don't have interactions with children in care.
