25 | On 7/1/26, at 12:05 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Sapien conducted an unannounced annual random inspection visit of the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with Keisha Sizemore, Licensee of the FCCH, and explained the nature and purpose of the inspection. The LPA, in the company of Licensee, toured the entirety of the FCCH. The home is a 5 bedroom and 4 bathroom two story residence. The areas that are accessible for day care children are the following: three guest bedrooms (primary playrooms), one bathroom, and a section of the backyard. The remainder of the home is excluded from childcare services. Inaccessible rooms and areas are made secure by the following devices: child safety locks and gates. At the time of the inspection, LPA observed 8 day care children present, one of whom was an infant. At the time of the inspection, LPA also observed one staff assistant and two of the Licensee's adult children (cleared and associated).
LPA observed the FCCH to be clean and orderly. The bathroom, utilized for childcare, was found to be clean and free of hazards. LPA observed sharps, like knives, and personal medications stored in the kitchen in elevated spaces. No children in care currently use medication. Chemicals and cleaning solutions are stored in an elevated areas in a hallway cabinet, out of reach of children in care.
LPA observed age-appropriate toys, furnishings, and equipment throughout the indoor play areas. Within the dedicated day care spaces, LPA observed a number of storage compartments and cabinets, each of which contained items related to the day care. LPA observed one dog present on site. The dog is current on their vaccinations, however, doesn't have interactions with children in care. In the living room of the home, an area off limits to children in care, LPA observed a wood burning fireplace that was enclosed by a metal gate. The fireplace is not used during day care hours. LPA observed relevant licensing forms and documents posted prominently inside of the day care. LPA observed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the household. The carbon monoxide detector was tested at 12:26 PM (CONT. 809-C, Page 2)
