On July 14, 2022 at 9:45 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Francisco Pedroza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with licensee Michelle Reyes and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPA a tour of the home inside and out. There was 10 children in care and one (1) assistant during the inspection.

Licensee has a single story home. Licensee uses the one (1) room, one (1) bathroom, and the backyard for children in care. LPA observed a secured gate in the hallway preventing children from having access to off-limit rooms. LPA observed fireplace in the living room with a secured screen preventing children from having access. A 2A10BC fire extinguisher was observed in the day care room with a service date of 7/11/22. LPA reminded licensee that the fire extinguisher must be serviced or a new one purchased annually. LPA did not observe hazards/toxins accessible to children in care. Licensee stores the disinfectants/chemicals high out of reach from children. LPA observed age appropriate toys, books, and furniture readily accessible for children in care. Licensee provided insight on a typical day of care. Children spend most of the day outside playing and learning. The backyard is enclosed with a wood fence. Licensee has age appropriate toys and play structures readily accessible for children in care when they are outside playing. Licensee advised they do have firearms and live ammunition in the home. LPA observed they were properly stored and inaccessible to children.

LPA reviewed the facility roster to be current and complete. LPA reviewed a sampling of children and staff records. The children and staff records were found to be current and complete. Facility staff met the requirements for Mandated Reporter and Pediatric CPR/First-Aid. The last fire drill was completed on July 15, 2022. Licensee is following current Covid-19 guidelines.

No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection.
