On 3/22/23, at 10:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley made an unannounced inspection to conduct a One Year Required Inspection for the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH). It should be noted today's inspection will also address a facility change of capacity from and Small FCCH (8) to a Large FCCH (12). LPA met with Anahi Everhart and Patrick Everhart, the Licensees of the FCCH and explained the purpose of the inspection. There are five children on site at the time of the inspection.
LPA, in the company of Licensee toured the interior and exterior of the FCCH and notes the FCCH is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath single story dwelling. The home’s living room, kitchen, guest bedrooms (2- converted) and backyard will be used for child care, while the home’s master bedrooms and garage will be excluded from child care.

The FCCH's fireplace is screened with a mesh metal covering and inaccessible to children. The bathroom used for children in care is observed to be clean and free of toxins. Medication in the home is secured in an elevated cabinet in the kitchen, while detergents and cleaning compounds are stored in a secure cabinet under the sink. LPA observed sharps on an elevated cabinet shelf in the kitchen, which is beyond the reach of children in care. The FCCH has a combination carbon monoxide/ smoke detector which was tested at 10:15 AM and found to be operable. LPA observed a fire extinguisher on site which was serviced on 2/8/23. LPA reminded the Licensee to either service or purchase a regulation fire extinguisher annually. The FCCH maintains working telephone services. The interior of the home has age appropriate toys, play equipment sleeping accommodation for children in care.
